The Paine Foundation

We are dedicated to bridging the gap between mainstream and disability football, while providing safe, competitive football for women and girls, aged 16+, who have hidden/ambulatory disabilities that limit their progression in the current football pyramid

The Paine Foundation offers an inclusive and safe space for women and girls aged 16+ in England to play fun and competitive football alongside like minded people!

Our Aim For the future

Every good team has a plan, here’s ours…

Local

County Development

We want to offer training and match play for Women and Girls to gain confidence, increase their fitness and connect with people with similar limitations. We currently have sessions in Sussex and Dorset, with intent to expand further

National

Women’s premier League

We want to grow to the point where we can travel across the England to play teams in the same way the WSL, Premier League and Academy teams do. This in turn creates a league where teams can compete to be Champions of England

Inspire Change, Unite in Sport – Create your own legacy

Take a step today to transform lives through football. By joining the Paine Foundation, you become an ambassador for equality and inspiration. Let’s unite to build a community where every woman and girl has the chance to shine on the pitch.

Here’s an insight into the Foundation from a few of our amazing members and player endorsers!

Don’t feel like you have to fit in. Just because we’re different doesn’t mean we’re less able, it just means we have different abilities. Stand out and be ok with being uncomfortable, it means you are growing!

After speaking with Abi, I realised the importance of people like me to help bridge the gap between mainstream and disability sport. Football has a beautiful ability to unite people and provide a sense of community. To help people gain access to that and become included in that community is an honour!

Moneyfields FC

I met Eleanor I few years ago before I even started playing football. She was playing for Crawley Wasps at the time, but I saw her play most at Worthing FC. I have trained with El and her teammates a few times, and it is clear the difference she makes on the squad – having her involved is incredible! – Abi

Eleanor Keegan

Worthing Football Club

I am endorsing the Paine Foundation because I think that access to sport for disabled women is so important. It provides a sense of purpose when going through tough times. The best thing about football is the friendship and community it brings, and being able to represent disability is amazing!

Solana and I went to the same college… we were two athletes on completely different levels, completely different abilities, and yet, when I asked her if I could spotlight her story on socials, she was happy to help! Rugby is intense, but its also growing fast, so having a rugby endorsement means the world to me! – Abi
